Trinity Place Foundation of Alberta (TPFA) was established in 1974 when we recognized an increasing need for safe and affordable housing for seniors in Calgary’s inner city.

More than 40 years later, our not-for-profit organization is responsible for managing and developing seniors’ housing throughout the city. We are now Calgary’s largest provider of self-contained seniors’ housing and respond to the needs of a diverse clientele.

The majority of seniors we serve have low incomes. Some of our population includes previously marginalized individuals whose quality of life can benefit greatly from additional social supports. We often employ our creative and collaborative partnerships to initiate meaningful supports for our tenants. We address issues as they surface with the goal of supporting overall health and wellbeing, while reducing isolation and vulnerability.

TPFA is a recognized leader and advocate in seniors’ issues, and we have implemented many innovative programs to minimize the marginalization of low-income seniors and encourage healthy aging in the right place.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of low-income seniors in Calgary with innovative programs and services and with the effective stewardship of the homes we create and manage.

We envision a society where people of limited means in their later years are invigorated and inspired by the community in which they live.

Trinity Place Foundation of Alberta is a Housing Management Body under the Alberta Housing Act. This means that we must follow the Alberta Housing Act and its regulations. As a landlord, we must also follow the Residential Tenancies Act and its regulations.
